The Shepherd’s Fund: Medical Expenses for Retired Clergy

The Shepherd’s Fund: Medical Expenses for Retired Clergy • November 2025 (Online Webinar)

The Shepherd’s Fund was established by a generous donor to bless retired Methodist clergy and their spouses, widows, and widowers who have faithfully served Christ and His Church. The Shepherd’s Fund provides private financial assistance when a medical or life stage crisis or event creates hardship. Great men and women of Christian faith are called to serve God as shepherds of His flock. Unlike those who work in traditional fields, many pastors do not retire with large retirement assets, and many have little money to meet the needs which can arise in later years. Join us as Derek W. McAleer explains the fund and its benefits, how it works, eligibility and how to apply, frequently asked questions, how to support the fund, and more!
