The Foundation offers financial workshops for individuals and churches in order to help create a culture of generosity. These workshops are provided as a ministry and are free of charge.

Speakers

Terri Turner, Foundation Executive Director

Terri Turner has been the Executive Director of The Methodist Foundation since 1991, currently overseeing over $133 million in assets for churches. A graduate of Florida State University, Terri spent 13 years in the investment brokerage business and finds her expertise as a financial consultant very helpful in counseling with church members and churches. Responsibilities with the Foundation include overseeing the administration and investment management of permanent gifts and church funds as well as developing programs throughout the conference to encourage good stewardship of God’s gifts. Terri is an active member of the Southeastern Jurisdiction of United Methodist Foundations where she has served as President and is active nationally in Foundation work as a member of the National Association of United Methodist Foundations. Terri and her family are members of FUMC in Dothan, AL.

Mark LaBranche, Foundation Church Relations Officer

Rev. Dr. Mark LaBranche serves as the Church Relations Officer for the Foundation and works to cultivate and strengthen partnerships with donors, churches, and/or organizations. Mark received his Master of Divinity at Emory University and his Doctor of Ministry at Boston University. He is an ordained elder and served as Student Pastor for the Seale-Alexandria UMC Charge (1984-87), as Associate Pastor at Pensacola FUMC (1987-91), as Associate Pastor at Montgomery FUMC (1991-94), and as Pastor of Saint Mark UMC, Montgomery (1994-2002). In 2002, Mark joined the staff at Huntingdon College as College Chaplain and Director of Church Relations, and in 2009 he left as Senior Vice President to accept the role as President of Louisburg College in Louisburg, NC. In 2017, Mark was selected as 27th President of Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, TN. In June of 2021, Martin Methodist merged with the University of Tennessee, and he was named the first Chancellor of the new University of Tennessee Southern. In July of 2022, Mark stepped down as Chancellor and was named Chancellor Emeritus and Special Assistant to the President of the University System. In July 2022, Mark and his wife Mona returned to their forever home in Pensacola and joined Saint Luke. Mark also serves on the boards of Bright Bridge Ministries and Embrace Florida Children.
