The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.
The Foundation offers personal and church financial workshops throughout our conference in order to create a culture of planning and accountability. Workshops provided by the Foundation are free of charge.
We teach our congregations about how God has given us our unique gifts and callings in life. But once church-goers leave on Sunday, how are we equipping them to live generous and purposeful lives?
Generosity workshops are an excellent way to share practical ways church members can live out their life’s purpose. Tailor these workshops to reach different demographics of your congregation. Examples of generosity workshops include:
- Christian Financial Planning
- Wills & Estate Planning for Christians
- Charitable Gift Planning Seminar
Offer generosity workshops to organizations in your church like the United Methodist Women, United Methodist Men, 55+ group, and particular classes or small groups.
The United Methodist Foundation can provide marketing materials and agendas to help you plan a generosity workshop. You can also contact us to speak at your church about the benefits of planned giving and leaving a legacy.
Our actions today determine how we are remembered tomorrow. Educating our congregations about planned giving is a great lesson on how to live out their purpose in life. Contact us today to begin changing lives.
