New Look for the Alabama – West Florida United Methodist Foundation

logos through the years

In 1979, the Alabama – West Florida United Methodist Foundation was formed as an agency of the United Methodist Church. Since then, we have worked with churches and individuals in our conference to manage over $77 million dollars to support scholarships, church buildings, local missions and more.

Today, we are excited to continue the mission of the Foundation with a new logo that showcases our beliefs in a fresh yet classic way.

Our new logo features a Dogwood tree which represents the everlasting life Christians receive when they believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. In regards to the work of the Foundation, when donors create or give to a trust or endowment, their gift will be in perpetuity. The Foundation anchors the tree, assuring the stability of our organization, while the branches represent the support we give to churches and donors, and the leaves are the growth that our mission will continue to have as we serve the churches within our conference. The color and style of the tree also reference the cross and flame found in the United Methodist Church logo.

Our goal with creating a new logo and website is to create awareness of the services we provide to churches and individuals within the Alabama – West Florida United Methodist Conference. As our Board President, Aubrey Stabler says, “This is a ministry of generosity.” Generosity is faith in action and we believe that if people are encouraged to live generous lives, they will strengthen not only themselves but the ministry of the church. We encourage generosity through education, consulting, development, and investment services.

While our look has changed over the years, our mission remains clear: we encourage generosity as a way of life, both in the church and in the hearts of individuals. Together, we will continue to grow God’s kingdom.
